Lucknow Metro Crosses Ridership of 10 Lakh


Lucknow Metro Rail has crossed the ridership figure of 10 lakh in just 70 days of its commercial operations since 6th September, 2017. This is a remarkable Metro ridership figure for any Metro during its initial days of its start of services.

LMRC recorded a cumulative footfall of 10,13,121 (Ten Lakh Thirteen Thousand One Hundred Twenty One) at the close of revenue services on 15th November 2017. It had crossed the figure of 10 lakh ridership on 14th November 2017.

To attract the commuters, Lucknow Metro has been providing many facilities like free Wi-Fi for GoSmart Card users, free drinking water, free toilets, free FM Radio announcement and entertainment, 100% barrier-free system for physically disabled persons, continuous safety and security surveillance, toll-free helpline number, easily accessible Metro staff and security personnel, emergency call button and CCTVs inside Metro coaches etc. so that people can enjoy hassle-free and a smooth journey of Lucknow Metro.

On the inaugural day of its public services on 6th September, 2017, Lucknow Metro recorded a ridership of 31,688 passengers and it again received a footfall of 41,075 commuters on 10th September, 2017.

LMRC is now expecting an excellent ridership in future as school children, college students and youths of Lucknow are getting attracted to the Metro journey which is the most reliable, comfortable, safe, fast and environmental friendly public mode of a modern world class state-of-the-art Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS).
