The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) on Saturday stated that total suggestions for the draft Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) has touched 3541.
“We have received a total of 3541 suggestions out of which, 304 are from individual mail ids. And rest 3237 are from a single mail id, mostly with common subject. All will be considered” BMRCL managing director Ajay Seth said.
Earlier, BMRCL had stated that 475 citizens responses had been received for draft CMP which was prepared by BMRCL along with DULT. The draft was uploaded on the websites of BMRCL and DULT since December 6 and the last date for submission of comments/suggestions was January 20.
The campaign initiated by Citizens for Bengaluru and Jhatkaa.org on act.airalert.in, acted as a platform for citizens to send comments on CMP. A majority of the respondents objected to inclusion of elevated corridors in the city.
According to Centre’s Metro Policy 2017, a CMP is mandatory for city planning to have a Metro network. BMRCL had proposed ORR-airport lines.
