BMRCL has completed launching and fixing of wings of first span of road-level flyover making it a full 20m wide road section on the reach 5 line of phase 2 of BMRCL is being constructed from RV road to Bommasandra. This is the first road-cum-Metro rail flyover (3.2 km in length) between Ragigudda and Central Silk Board (Marenahalli road) coming up in Bengaluru. This elevated double-decker flyover consists of two lanes of road flyover (first level) and Metro rail flyover (second level). Apart from elevated flyover, three lanes both sides at grade road is also present. Currently, 40 per cent of the work is complete with erection of 2.5 km of Metro rail spans and 0.8 km of road level central spine spans. Officials say that the most important and complex activity of the double decker flyover is launching and fixing of wings to spine segment of the road flyover.
