Bengaluru based ‘STUP Consultants’ has been entrusted with preparing the detailed design for the elevated Challaghatta yard and depot-cum-workshop with Inter Modal Integration Hub (IMIH) at a cost of Rs 4.47 crore.
BMRCL is planning to establish a new station and a multi-level parking facility at Challaghatta, which is beyond Kengeri. Intercity buses from places like Bidadi, Ramanagara, Channapatna, Mandya and Mysuru can halt there. The Mysuru Road-Kengeri Metro corridor is likely to be operational on November 2020. SWR is also planning Kengeri-Whitefield suburban rail corridor as part of the suburban rail project.
BMRCL has finalised Australia-based ‘SMEC International’ is selected as the detailed design consultant the design consultants for viaduct and stations (excluding U-girder system of superstructure) from Central Silk Board Junction to HBR Layout along Outer Ring Road at a cost of Rs 8.30 crore. The stretch is one part of the Silk Board – K R Puram – Kempegowda International Metro corridor (Light Blue).
For another past of the corridor, ‘AECOM India Pvt Ltd and Consulting Engineers group Ltd-JV’ has been appointed as the detailed design consultant for viaduct and stations (excluding U-girder system of superstructure) from HBR Layout to Kempegowda International Airport at a cost of Rs 6.26 crore.
Meanwhile, ‘Professional Global Infrastructure’ will take up the construction of road structures, drain and footpath development works in Reach 4B (Yelachenahalli-Anjanapura) at a cost of Rs 10.91 crore. Commuters on Kanakapura Road were complaining of damaged roads due to ongoing Metro work. The Yelachenahalli-Anjanapura Metro corridor is likely to be operational by August 2020.
