Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) is bringing festive cheer in the lives of the people of Lucknow by organising a series of cultural evenings to mark Christmas and New Year Celebrations.
Christmas celebrations organised by Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation became a talk of the town as the people of Lucknow thoroughly enjoyed themselves on the 25th of December 2020.
Keeping up with the tradition of celebrating Christmas day with full zeal and joyous spirits, UPMRC made sure that this year as well, there is lots of fun and surprise in store for the people of Lucknow.
The ‘Santa claus’ inside and around stations and on board the metro trains indeed became very popular with the metro riders. The Santa treated the passengers with sweets and happily posed for lots of selfies with them as well.
The Santa was on constant move starting from Munshi Pulia Metro Station, around IT college station area, and subsequently to Hazratganj area and clicked a lot of pictures with excited commuters.
A special musical performance by ‘The Triological Blend Official’ band at Hazratganj Metro Station from 5:30 P.M. onwards made the evening for Lucknow people even more fun-filled and many were seen grooving to the tunes of the band.
On New Year’s eve i.e. 31st December 2020 and on 1st January 2021, power-packed musical band performances will be organised inside Hazratganj Metro Station from 5:30 P.M. onwards.
“UPMRC always tries its best to make festivals full of cheer for the people of our beautiful Lucknow city. Christmas is a festival of warmth, blessings and gratitude. We try to make Christmas as special as we can for the people of Lucknow and hope that their faith in our services continues to grow day by day,” said Shri Kumar Keshav, Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation.
All precautions and safeguard measures pertaining to Covid-19 were taken, including proper distancing and sanitisation measures while organizing these events, a UPMRC Release Said.
