New Metro services will start from Seepz to Colaba from December 2023. 21 stations of Metro 3 corridor are almost ready. Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRC) has completed almost 90 per cent construction work on 21 out of 26 stations on this corridor. Simultaneously the work of many departments is in progress. Along with the civil work, the installation of equipments in the station premises is also going on at a fast pace. About 50 per cent of the equipment installation work at 18 stations has been completed.
93 percent work of Vidhan Bhavan station, 96 percent work of MIDC station has also been completed. The track laying work of this corridor is going on from March 2021. Till now the track laying work has been completed up to 56 percent. Total 66.07 km including up and down direction on this route of 33.5 km route. Tracks to be laid. About 10,745 metric tonnes of track will be used on the entire route.
Work started after change of government
The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MSRC) has set a target of expeditiously completing the carshed construction work at Aarey. Metro trial run
